About Me

Pot Punk

My name is Henry Moore and I’m a ceramicist based in Suffolk. I create work that is inspired by post-punk, surf and skate cultures.

Ceramics to me is one of the most freeing crafts there is. The possibilities are pretty much endless and with just one material and some heat, you can make almost anything.

I aim to make pieces that utilise the medium to its full potential. I want to make work that not only looks interesting, but also physically feels interesting. Texture work is becoming increasingly important in my work and is something I always seem to think about when creating.

I was lucky enough to take part in Channel 4’s Great Pottery Throwdown in 2021 and have since been a full time maker. Creating work for sale and show, and also teaching workshops and classes from the studio in Ipswich.

I want to keep spreading artistic anarchy and I hope you do too.
