The Sedimentary Vase is named after the pattern that the body takes on during making. The vase was made by blending Terracotta and Stoneware clays to create different colours, then marbling those clays together using the techniques I’ve learned from my Damascus Porcelain.
This creates a look like the layers of rock and stone in sedimentary formations.
