These tankards are carved with a massively impactful texture on the outside. I used a slightly adapted version of my Ocean Blue glaze on these pieces and soaked them for slightly longer in the kiln. This allowed the glaze to really get into the texture and flow through it. Its created a feel that is really new to me and a colouring that stands out despite being in the same palette as my usual glaze.
These Textured Tankards are also much larger than my others and are therefore, great for beers ;)
